Village Fund distribution in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) has reached Rp 28.2 billion by 9 March 2026, allocated across 218 villages in five regencies.

Adi Setiawan, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) in NTT, explained that these funds represent part of the government’s support for financing village administration, infrastructure development, community empowerment, and community activities in villages.

He noted that in 2026 the government allocated Rp 1.08 trillion in Village Funds for 3,137 villages across 21 regencies in NTT.

According to Adi, regular Village Fund distribution is conducted through two phases in accordance with the Ministry of Finance Regulation Number 7 of 2026 concerning Village Fund Management for 2026.

“This regulation establishes the mechanisms for allocation, distribution, use, and reporting of Village Funds in the 2026 budget year,” explained Adi Setiawan on Monday, 9 March 2026.

He stated that as of 9 March, DJPb had distributed the first phase of regular funds totalling Rp 28.2 billion, or 2.62 per cent of the total budget allocation, to 218 villages. These villages are located across five regencies: Ngada, East Flores, East Sumba, West Manggarai, and Nagekeo.

Adi revealed that East Flores has achieved the highest performance in regular Village Fund distribution. Distribution in that region reached Rp 13.85 billion, or 21.49 per cent, distributed to 104 villages out of a total of 229 villages.

Subsequently, Ngada received a distribution of Rp 8.64 billion, or 15.01 per cent, for 72 villages out of 190 villages total.

West Manggarai then received Rp 5.06 billion, or 9.01 per cent, for 37 villages out of 164 villages.

Meanwhile, Nagekeo received a distribution of Rp 387.65 million, or 1.29 per cent, for 3 villages out of 97 villages. East Sumba received Rp 283.71 million, or 0.54 per cent, for 2 villages out of 140 villages total.

“The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury in East Nusa Tenggara Province continues to encourage regional and village governments to accelerate fulfilment of Village Fund distribution documentation requirements to the KPPN as the Treasury Authority responsible for Village Fund distribution, without waiting for the final deadline for submission of distribution requirements, particularly for the first phase scheduled for 15 June 2026,” explained Adi.

According to him, accelerated Village Fund distribution is expected to have a direct impact on village community economic activity.

“We hope to improve the welfare of village communities and strengthen economic recovery and growth in the region,” Adi concluded.
