Video: Preparing Insurance Policy Guarantee, LPS 'Copies' Malaysia and Others

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Member of the Board of Commissioners for the Policy Guarantee Programme at LPS, Ferdinan D. Purba, has assured the readiness of LPS in implementing the insurance policy guarantee programme in 2028.

In the insurance policy guarantee programme scheme, LPS is mirroring its implementation in 27 countries, mainly in Malaysia, South Korea, and Taiwan. LPS identifies two main programmes that must be ensured, namely protection for insurance policy participants and maintaining the stability of the insurance industry.

It is hoped that this policy guarantee programme can increase customer confidence, thereby becoming a momentum for the growth of the insurance industry.

In addition, LPS is also ensuring efforts to maintain the sustainability of the guarantee fund, especially in the early phase, to minimise risks. This is carried out by tightening membership selection to determining premium contributions.
