Video: Palm Oil Downstreaming, Sei Mangkei SEZ Produces Margarine - Biodiesel

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The acceleration of downstream processing and industrialisation projects currently being promoted by the government is good news for the Sei Mangkei SEZ, which is a Special Economic Zone focused on integrated downstream industries for palm oil and rubber. The Director General of PT Kawasan Industri Nusantara (Sei Mangkei SEZ), Arif Budiman, stated that the downstream project through Danantara also impacts the Sei Mangkei SEZ, where PTPN IV PalmCo is building the Oleofood factory to produce margarine and shortening with a capacity of 35,000 tonnes per year as part of palm oil downstreaming or Crude Palm Oil (CPO), as well as developing 450,000 tonnes of biodiesel per year.
