Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - CNBC Indonesia held the Insurance Forum with the theme “Optimising Insurance Protection & New Directions for Unit Link Development in Indonesia” as a forum for regulators, associations and insurance professionals to seek solutions in driving the growth and accelerating the transformation of the national insurance business.
The Chairman of the Board of the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI), Albertus Wiroyo, at the 2026 Insurance Forum, revealed AAJI’s efforts to encourage industry adjustments to three new regulations in 2026, namely POJK 35/2025 concerning risk-based supervision, POJK 36/2025 on strengthening the health insurance ecosystem and the implementation of minimum capital rules and the spin-off of the Islamic insurance business unit.
One of these regulations concerns strengthening PAYDI (Investment-Linked Insurance Products) or Unit Link products, which is carried out by increasing product transparency and customer understanding of the investment risks contained in unit links, thereby minimising complaints in the future.
In addition, it is encouraged to design better unit link products so that they can balance and accommodate the interests of the company and customers.
What is the strategy to strengthen the life insurance industry, including PAYDI products?
