“Technology is developing rapidly. Therefore, we must work hard to address the education gap,” Gibran stated during his remarks.

The program is a strategic government initiative to address gaps in access to education while enhancing learning quality, particularly in 3T regions and underserved areas.

The vice president stated that the use of technology in education has become a necessity amidst the rapid changes of the times.

He then highlighted that digital transformation must be supported by stronger human resource capacity to drive productivity and create new economic opportunities.

“The use of technology must increase productivity and bring more economic opportunities. Use it wisely and responsibly, and continue to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure we become not only users but also innovators,” he continued.

On that occasion, Gibran engaged in dialogue with participants from various regions throughout the country to explore their backgrounds and assignment locations in the 3T areas.

One of the Digital Warrior Program participants, Theresia Rutisu, expressed her commitment to serving her hometown by sharing her experiences with the younger generation.

“I emphasize the word ‘devotion.’ I want to share my experiences with children in the 3T regions because I came from there, and I want them to never stop dreaming,” she said.

Another participant, Gulmog Simbolon, described the program as a space to bring real contributions to equalizing access to education and building motivation to learn in their assigned regions.

In response, Gibran praised the enthusiasm of participants who wish to return and serve their regions, stressing the importance of making real contributions as a reflection of responsibility and national pride.

The Digital Warrior Alumni Service Program is a project collaboration between the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) to accelerate learning digitalization in 3T regions.

A total of 150 LPDP alumni will be assigned to 150 elementary schools in Sumedang, Kupang, North Halmahera, and Merauke for three months to assist teachers in utilizing technology and strengthening digital-based learning.

Through this program, the government hopes to establish a more adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable digital learning ecosystem across the country.
