Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a direct inspection of traffic management arrangements for the Lebaran 2026 (Eid al-Fitr 1447H) exodus at the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Centre (JMTC) in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

The visit aimed to ensure the readiness of traffic control strategies for the Lebaran 2026 exodus across the Jasa Marga Group tollroad network. Vice President Gibran was welcomed by the Jasa Marga Board of Directors, including Operations Director Fitri Wiyanti, Business Development Director Ari Respati, Business Director Reza Febriano, Service Director Yaya Ruhiya, Human Capital and Transformation Director Yoga Tri Anggoro, and Finance and Risk Management Director Pramitha Wulanjani, along with members of the Operational Task Force Team for Eid.

Gibran expressed appreciation to all Jasa Marga personnel for their dedication and hard work in ensuring smooth traffic flow during the Lebaran exodus and return journey. He also urged travellers to remain cautious throughout their journey.

“Colleagues, remain alert and cautious during your journey home, given the heavy traffic conditions. I can see that the reports presented are sufficiently comprehensive and preparations have been conducted thoroughly. The peak traffic flow is expected to occur soon, so vigilance must be maintained. Thank you for the hard work of all field personnel,” said Gibran.

Fitri presented traffic conditions for the Lebaran 2026 exodus from H-10 to H-5 through four main toll gates: Cikupa Gate (towards Merak), Ciawi Gate (towards Puncak), Cikampek Utama Gate (towards Trans-Java), and Kalihurip Utama Gate (towards Bandung).

“Based on monitoring through JMTC, actual traffic leaving the Jabotabek region from Wednesday, 11 March to Monday, 16 March 2026 reached 990,506 vehicles, an increase of 13.6% compared to normal levels. The peak exodus traffic for Lebaran 2026 is estimated to occur on 18 March 2026 (H-3) with a volume reaching approximately 259,000 vehicles. So far, the traffic volume that has passed reaches 28.1% of the total projection of 3.5 million vehicles during the 11-31 March 2026 period,” said Fitri.

On the same occasion, Ari added an evaluation of the functional lane deployment during the Lebaran exodus, including the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road Ambarawa-Bawen Segment and the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road Prambanan-Purwomartani Segment.

“Jasa Marga has operated three functional lanes to support the smooth flow of Lebaran 2026 exodus traffic. The opening of these functional segments received high enthusiasm from the public, reflected in the increased volume of vehicles passing through each segment. To support the smooth return traffic flow, Jasa Marga has also prepared the operation of the Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road functional lane as an alternative traffic distribution,” explained Ari.

The activity continued with an interactive digital dialogue with field personnel, including staff at Kalikangkung Gate, Purwomartani Gate, the Jakarta-Cikampek section, and the Jagorawi section, to ensure operational readiness is running optimally.

As part of digital service transformation, Jasa Marga continues to develop JMTC. Known as “the eye of toll road”, JMTC functions as a technology-based traffic control centre utilising 360° Monitoring technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning to support rapid and accurate decision-making.

JMTC integrates various technologies, including AI-based CCTV, radar, traffic counting, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), to ensure optimal traffic monitoring and analysis processes. The information from data processing is then conveyed to road users in real time, accurately, and easily accessible through the Travoy application. This application helps users plan their journeys better through features including traffic information, estimated travel time, toll rates, digital receipts, location and rest area facilities, and access to emergency assistance.

Before leaving JMTC, Gibran also inspected the Travoy FM Radio broadcast studio. For information, Travoy FM Radio is the latest innovation developed by Jasa Marga that can be accessed through the vehicle dashboard to facilitate road users in obtaining traffic information directly during their journey.

Through the utilisation of integrated technology and strengthened coordination among stakeholders, Jasa Marga reaffirms its role in supporting the smooth flow of the Lebaran 2026 exodus and return journey, to realise safe, smooth, and secure travel for all road users.
