BANDUNG – Vehicle owners in Depok, Bekasi City, and Bekasi Regency can now more easily pay their motor vehicle tax. Starting Tuesday, 3 March 2026, they are no longer required to bring the original vehicle registration document (BPKB) or a photocopy when paying motor vehicle tax.

This was announced by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, who unveiled the new policy regarding motor vehicle tax payment services in these areas.

“Particularly for West Java residents in Depok, Bekasi City, and Bekasi Regency, who have previously had to bring the BPKB when paying motor vehicle tax, I am announcing that starting today you no longer need to bring the original BPKB or a photocopy. Services can be provided directly,” said the governor, commonly known as KDM (Kang Dedi Mulyadi), on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

The policy is expected to streamline services and accelerate the motor vehicle tax payment process in the agglomeration area.

On another note, KDM also encouraged the public to utilise the National Digital Samsat Application (Signal) to facilitate motor vehicle administration services. “We also hope you will utilise Signal, which is the National Digital Samsat application,” he said.

The application allows taxpayers to make payments online without having to visit the Samsat office directly, making it more convenient and efficient.

The provincial government also expressed appreciation to West Java residents, who are considered increasingly disciplined in paying motor vehicle tax. This has resulted in increased regional revenue.

“Thank you to all West Java residents who continue to diligently pay their taxes, which has resulted in increased revenue for West Java Province,” he said.
