Multiple flights at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali have been impacted by airspace closures in several countries following a large-scale military strike launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.

Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Communication and Legal Division Head of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, disclosed that five flights to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Ngurah Rai Airport experienced delays and schedule adjustments. This figure was based on data as of 11:00 Wita on Sunday (1 March 2026).

“Based on data from airlines, the total number of prospective passengers from the five flights experiencing schedule adjustments amounted to 1,631 passengers,” Eka Sandi stated in a written statement on Sunday morning.

The following is a breakdown of flights at Ngurah Rai Airport that experienced delays and schedule adjustments as of 11:00 Wita:

“The handling of all these passengers has been carried out in accordance with each airline’s respective policies,” said Eka Sandi.

Eka Sandi emphasised that flight operations and services at Ngurah Rai Airport generally continue to operate normally. According to him, the airport management is continuously coordinating with airlines to update flight schedules and assist prospective passengers already at the airport.

Additionally, coordination has been undertaken with AirNav Indonesia to monitor affected airspace. This includes coordination with security personnel as a precaution regarding the security situation at Ngurah Rai Airport.

It is noted that the joint US-Israeli strike on Iran occurred on Saturday (28 February). Iran had previously retaliated by firing missiles at Israel and Arab nations hosting US military forces, including Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
