US-Israel Attack on Iran Causes 1,631 Passengers at Denpasar Airport to Miss Flights
Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport reported five international departing flights from Bali were cancelled by Sunday, 1 March 2026. The cancellations affected 1,631 prospective passengers and were triggered by airspace closures across several Middle Eastern nations following the US-Israel-Iran conflict.
“For now, we have five departing flights that have been cancelled, according to the data we received approximately 1,631 passengers are affected,” said Communication and Legal Division Head of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Gede Eka Sandi in Badung Regency, Sunday (1 March 2026).
Airlines Affected: Emirates, Qatar, and Etihad
Eka Sandi explained that the 1,631 passengers represent cumulative figures since the previous day. They were registered as passengers on Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad flights affected by the airspace closures.
The cancelled departing flights include:
Etihad EY477 scheduled departure (STD) at 18:45 Wita from Denpasar (DPS) to Abu Dhabi (AUH)

Passengers Accommodated in Hotels, Help Desk Established
Airport authorities ensured that some passengers already at the terminal since the previous day were provided hotel accommodation by their respective airlines. Other prospective passengers had not yet arrived at the airport after receiving prior information regarding the Middle Eastern conflict situation.
“We are collaborating with the airlines to ensure affected passengers are provided hotel accommodation, and the airport is establishing a help desk to assist airlines in providing service to passengers so that when passengers request refunds, route changes, and schedule adjustments, they feel well served,” said Eka Sandi.
The airport also opened a dedicated help desk to assist with refund processing, route changes, and flight rescheduling.
