Dozens of activists staged a protest near the US Embassy in the Philippines on Tuesday (3 March 2026). In the demonstration, protesters burned American flags in condemn of the latest attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran.

The protest took place several hundred metres from the embassy building as police prevented demonstrators from protesting directly in front of it. Despite restrictions, activists continued to deliver speeches and display protest placards, pointing out that the attacks initiated by the US and Israel have caused damage and loss of life.

Meanwhile, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reported that a Filipino migrant worker died in Israel on 1 March. He urged Filipino citizens in conflict zones to take shelter immediately and follow local authorities’ instructions.

The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs noted that more than 2.4 million Filipino nationals currently reside in the Middle East, mostly as migrant workers. The government stated that it continues to monitor developments and is preparing steps to ensure the safety of its citizens.

Escalation increased after US-Israeli air strikes against Iran expanded on Monday. Israel reportedly attacked Lebanon in response to strikes by Hizbullah, whilst Tehran retaliated by firing missiles and drones at Israel, several Gulf nations, and a British airbase in Cyprus.
