The number of international flights at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali continues to increase as a result of the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran. A total of 15 flights at Ngurah Rai Airport have been cancelled based on data as of 13:00 Wita on Monday (2 March 2025).

Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of Communication and Legal Division at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Ngurah Rai International Airport, disclosed that the affected flight schedules comprise 8 departure routes and 7 arrival routes. The cancellations have occurred between 28 February and 2 March 2025.

“As of Monday at 13:00 Wita, there are 15 international flights recorded as cancelled. The breakdown includes 8 departure schedules and 7 arrival schedules affected by airspace closures in the Middle East,” stated Eka Sandi in his statement on Monday (2 March 2025).

The flight cancellations involve three major airlines—Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways—with destinations to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. Although disruptions have occurred on these international routes, Eka Sandi assured that overall operations at Ngurah Rai Airport remain normal and optimal.

“We continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East and coordinate with airlines and AirNav for schedule updates,” said Eka.

Data from the airlines indicates that approximately 3,197 departing passengers have been affected by these schedule adjustments. The airport management has also prepared designated aircraft parking stand arrangements for five aircraft from the affected airlines.

“The number of passengers whose schedules have been disrupted is 3,197, and that is just for departing passengers. We have also prepared reserve aircraft parking spaces for five aircraft from the three affected airlines,” noted Eka.

Eka Sandi urged prospective passengers to actively communicate with their airlines to obtain the latest information. Furthermore, the airport operator has established an information desk (help desk) on the second floor of the International Departure Terminal and offers a contact centre service at telephone number 172.

“We ask passengers to regularly check schedules with their respective airlines for the most up-to-date information. We have also prepared help desk services on the second floor of the international terminal, and passengers can also contact us at 172,” concluded Eka.
