In commemorating National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026, Untar held an awards ceremony for its lecturers, staff, and students who had achieved notable achievements. Under the theme ‘Strengthening Universal Participation to Realise Quality Education for All’, the event took place on Tuesday (5 May) at Untar’s Campus I. On this occasion, Untar Rector, Prof Amad Sudiro, expressed his deep appreciation to all lecturers who are an essential instrument in the university. ‘The role of lecturers is part of the long journey of education itself—someone who has learned, been guided, experienced failure, and then risen again in the process of seeking and making sense of knowledge,’ he said. He also stated that the best education often arises from simple things. ‘I often see that the best education actually springs from simple things, from small discussion rooms, from sincere guidance, from hard work that may not always be visible. It is there that the quality of education is built—not only from facilities, but also from the heart and the commitment of us all,’ he continued. Untarian Awards itself is an annual moment organised as a form of appreciation to lecturers, staff, and students. In this year’s celebration, Untar presented awards in categories: ‘Lecturers and Staff with More Than 25 Years in Service’, ‘Award for Accredited Study Program’, and ‘National and International Student of Achievement’. One of the students receiving an award at this event was Claribel Halim, a student of the Faculty of Communication Studies (Fikom) at Untar, Class of 2023. She said that the recognition demonstrates the university’s attention and dedication to supporting its students to continue achieving at national and international levels. ‘This recognition shows the university’s attention and dedication to supporting its students to continue achieving at national and international levels,’ she said. Continuing her remarks, Claribel added that the Untarian Awards have a positive impact in fostering the enthusiasm and drive of students to continue achieving. ‘This Untarian Awards event has yielded a positive effect in boosting the spirit and enthusiasm of students who have already or will achieve, and it is hoped it can continue even better,’ she added.
