JAKARTA (JP): Belated results of state university entrance
tests in Jakarta and its surrounding areas will be announced at
the Senayan Stadium in Central Jakarta on Friday, an executive of
the test committee said Monday.

Wiwit B. Widiantono, secretary of the committee in charge of
supervising tests in the greater Jakarta area, said the release
of results would also be held at the local entrance test
committee's offices.

"Test participants can check for free whether they passed
either through results attached on a board or newspaper sheets to
be handed out by showing their participants' identities," Wiwit
was quoted by Antara as saying.

The announcement of the tests, which were conducted on June 16
and June 17, was originally scheduled for July 25. Minister of
Education of Culture Juwono Sudarsono attributed the delay to
rising prices of paper, late data processing and a 15 percent
rise in test takers which had required more arrangements to be
