Undip Serves Six Disabled Participants in UTBK SNBT 2026
Semarang (ANTARA) - Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) in Semarang provided services to six disabled individuals who were participants in the Computer-Based Written Exam (UTBK) for the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) 2026.
Deputy Chair for Educational Development of the Institute for the Development and Quality Assurance of Education (LP2MP) at Undip, Prof Dr Paramita Prananingtyas, in Semarang on Tuesday, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to delivering inclusive services.
She explained that the six disabled participants in this year’s UTBK-SNBT at Undip consisted of three with physical disabilities and three with hearing impairments.
“This step is taken to ensure that all participants, without exception, have equal opportunities and adequate accessibility in taking the exam,” she said.
Accompaniment was carried out proportionately to maintain the integrity of the exam while ensuring the comfort of participants with special needs during the selection process.
As part of efforts to optimise services, she said, Undip has mapped out disability-friendly exam locations, such as buildings equipped with lifts and adaptive exam rooms.
She stated that the placement of participants’ locations was done strategically, including at the Faculty of Law, which has lift infrastructure and adjustable seating areas to support the mobility needs of participants with physical disabilities.
All service procedures, she said, have been arranged to align with national standards without reducing the strictness of supervision.
She emphasised that Undip pays serious attention to technical details on the ground to minimise physical obstacles for participants.
Paramita said that these efforts demonstrate that the campus is not only focused on academic aspects but also on humanitarian aspects and justice in access to education for the wider community.
“Alhamdulillah, the disabled participants also felt quite satisfied with the facilities provided by Undip. We have prepared and adjusted our facilities to the maximum according to the needs of those disabled participants,” she said.
By providing special services, she said, Undip still enforces security protocols and strict checks for all participants, including the use of metal detectors to prevent any form of cheating.
“This is done in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the central committee to maintain the credibility of the exam results,” she said.
The implementation of UTBK-SNBT 2026 at Undip was attended by 23,933 participants, taking place from 21-29 April 2026 at various locations on the Undip Tembalang and Pleburan campuses.
