UAE intercepts 10 ballistic missiles and 26 drones from Iran
Abu Dhabi — The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) intercepted 10 ballistic missiles and 26 drones launched from Iran on Thursday, 12 March.
The ministry stated that this action formed part of an ongoing defensive operation in response to what it characterised as attacks from Iran targeting the country.
According to official data, since the commencement of the US-Israel conflict with Iran, UAE air defences have intercepted 278 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,540 drones.
These attacks have resulted in six fatalities involving citizens of the UAE, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, as well as 131 individuals suffering minor to moderate injuries from various nationalities, according to the ministry.
