The Ende Resort Police (Polres) arrested two unemployed men with the initials IN (39) and DMB (26). Both were apprehended in connection with the distribution of methamphetamine in Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Iptu Supardin, the Head of Community Relations and Information at Ende Resort Police, revealed that IN and DMB were arrested whilst carrying 4 grams of methamphetamine that had been ordered from Surabaya. Both men were detained at the front yard of an Indomaret on Kelimutu Road, Ende, on Thursday 5 February.

“The 4 grams of methamphetamine belonged to suspect IN and suspect DMB, with 1.62 grams for personal consumption. The remaining 2.38 grams, IN intended to sell to a buyer from Maumere with the initials W,” Supardin stated in his report on Tuesday 3 October 2026.

Supardin said the disclosure of the narcotics case was based on information from the public, which was followed up with investigation and surveillance by officers. Police secured several pieces of evidence from both perpetrators, including methamphetamine, a smoking device (bong), scissors, and zip-lock bags.

Based on the examination results, he stated, suspect IN admitted that the methamphetamine was his. According to Supardin, IN ordered 4 grams of methamphetamine from Surabaya through intermediary suspect DMB. The methamphetamine was sent via courier service and arrived on Tuesday 3 February.

Both suspects and the evidence have now been secured at the Narcotics Investigation Unit of Ende Resort Police for further investigation. Both are charged under Article 609 paragraph (1) letter (a) of Law Number 1 of 2023 and Article 114 paragraph (1) and Article 132 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) letter (a) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.
