Two Pertamina Cargo Vessels Finally Exit Middle East Conflict Zone
PT Pertamina (Persero) through PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has confirmed that two of four cargo vessels operating in the Middle East region have exited the conflict area. The two vessels are PIS Rinjani and PIS Paragon.
According to Vega Pita, Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina International Shipping, two PIS vessels remain in the Arabian Gulf: VLCC Pertamina Pride and Gamsunoro. Both vessels are currently awaiting safe conditions to depart through the Strait of Hormuz.
Pita assured that both retained vessels remain in secure condition. The Gamsunoro vessel is transporting cargo for third-party consumers, whilst VLCC Pertamina Pride is carrying crude oil supplies to meet domestic energy requirements.
Beyond these vessels, Pertamina Group’s energy supply chain and distribution network remain robust across both international and Indonesian waters, supported by approximately 345 vessels managed by various Pertamina Group entities.
In coordination with the government, Pertamina Group has implemented Regular, Alternative and Emergency protocols to determine the most effective and secure supply chain methods to meet public energy needs and ensure smooth distribution.
PIS maintains intensive 24/7 real-time monitoring of all fleet positions, crew and personnel, and maintains close coordination with maritime authorities and local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all crew members and cargo transported.
