Two killed on toll road

JAKARTA (JP): A village head and one of his staff member were
killed in an accident Saturday night on the Cikampek toll road in
Karawang. The victims were in a Toyota Kijang van which rolled
after getting a flat tire.

The victims, village head HM Djaman 50, of Mangunjaya in
Bekasi, and Arifin, 44, who was driving, were heading toward
Cikampek.

The accident occurred in the Telukjambe area. Another
passenger, Naning, 33, was injured, Antara reported yesterday.

Police said a similar accident happened Friday near the scene.
It also involved a Toyota Kijang van with a flat tire. One person
died and three were injured.

Yesterday traffic officers were busy directing heavy traffic
along the Cikampek-Purwakarta route. Many vehicles were heading
towards resorts in Ciater, Subang and Jatiluhur in Purwakarta.
