Two Drug Kingpins Who Funnelled Billions in Rupiah to Police Chief AKBP Didik Still at Large
The National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) is still pursuing drug kingpins who allegedly transferred Rp2.8 billion to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Sub-directorate III Head of Bareskrim’s Narcotics Crime Directorate, Kombes Zulkarnain Harahap, stated that two kingpins are currently being hunted — an individual identified as ‘B’ and another known as Koh Erwin.
“The kingpins who gave the money to AKP M (Malaungi) were B and KE (Koh Erwin),” he told reporters, as quoted on Tuesday (24/2).
Zulkarnain said authorities have coordinated with the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent both kingpins from fleeing the country.
“The kingpins are currently being pursued and travel bans have been issued through the Immigration Office,” he said.
He added that investigators are examining whether the two drug kingpins are also involved in international networks.
“We have indeed engaged PPATK [the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre] to trace the flow of funds. The kingpins who will be reported are ‘KE’, ‘AS’ and ‘S’,” he concluded.
Previously, Bareskrim Polri had named former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra as a suspect in drug abuse.
Didik was found guilty of possessing a white suitcase containing narcotics that had been entrusted to Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.
The drug evidence recovered included 16.3 grammes of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy tablets and 2 partially consumed tablets (23.5 grammes), 19 Alprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets, and 5 grammes of ketamine.
Didik also tested positive for drug consumption based on hair follicle drug test results conducted at a laboratory.
In addition to that case, Didik was also named a suspect for receiving proceeds from narcotics crimes by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police on Monday (16/2).
Didik allegedly received Rp2.8 billion in drug proceeds from kingpin Koh Erwin through his subordinate AKP Malaungi, who served as Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police. The money was received by Didik during the period from June to November 2025.
Didik has since been dishonourably discharged from the Indonesian National Police. He is currently being held at the Bareskrim Polri detention centre.
