Two die of diarrhea

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Two people have died and 58 others are infected in an outbreak of diarrhea in the Asera subdistrict about 100 kms north of here.

The local community health center could not accommodate all the patients and some of them had to be treated in nearby houses, Antara reported.

The chief spokesman of the Southeast Sulawesi health office, Miswan Sinoru, said a medical team had already been sent to the area from Kendari.

Asera sub-district chief Arifin Lamarundu said the first diarrhea case was detected on Monday. (05)
