Try a CN-235 during the show

JAKARTA (JP): Privately-owned Merpati Nusantara is offering city flights in a locally made CN-235 during the Air Show.

Those going to the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport where the Air Show will take place can take a flight from Halim Perdanakusuma airport in East Jakarta.

"The service will start from June 22 to June 30," Tondo Widodo, spokesman for Merpati Nusantara, said in a release distributed to The Jakarta Post yesterday.

There will be two return flights a day. The first will be at 9 a.m. from Halim and will arrive at the Soekarno-Hatta airport at 9:20 a.m. The plane will return to Halim at 1 p.m. and land at 1:20 p.m.

The second flight from Halim will be at 2 p.m, and will return to Halim at 5 p.m.

Tickets cost Rp 70,000 per person per trip. Those who want to try the IPTN-made CN-235 can go to Merpati Nusantara office on Jl. Angkasa, or dial 654444, 8094179, 5507218, 5501885 for reservations. Tickets will also be available at the Graduna Indonesia Group stand at the Air Show ground, Widodo said. (sur)
