Trump Threatens Iran Will Face 'Bad Day' If No Deal Is Reached
Washington (ANTARA) - US President Donald Trump on Monday called on Tehran to seek a deal with Washington, warning that failure to do so would result in Iran facing “a bad day.”
“I’m the one making the decisions, I’d rather have a deal than not, but if we don’t reach a deal, it’s going to be a very bad day for that country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump also expressed regret over the fate of the Iranian people, whom he described as great people who do not deserve to endure such circumstances.
The president further highlighted that numerous false stories crafted by the “Fake News Media” had been circulating, claiming that General Dan Caine opposed the US going to war with Iran.
“Everything that has been written about a potential war with Iran has been written incorrectly, and deliberately so,” Trump added.
On Monday, reports from Axios and The Washington Post indicated that General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had warned President Trump about the significant risks of launching military operations against Iran, including potential US casualties and the danger of a prolonged conflict.
