The Transport Minister, Dudy Purwagandhi, continues to monitor the implementation of the transport discount programme to ensure proper execution in the field. “We will request airlines and all transport operators providing discount programmes to submit reports,” said Dudy at the Ministry of Transport’s office on Friday, 13 March 2026.

The government has prepared an economic stimulus budget for the Lebaran 2026 period totalling 911 billion rupiah. The funding, sourced from both the state budget (APBN) and non-state budget sources, is being allocated to transport discount programmes covering train, ship, and aeroplane tickets.

The discount for train tickets is set at 30 per cent of the ticket price for travel during the 14–29 March 2026 period. Ship ticket discounts are offered at 30 per cent of the base tariff and apply during the 11 March–5 April 2026 period.

Meanwhile, ASDP ferry crossing tickets receive price reductions during 12–31 March 2026 with a 100 per cent discount on port service charges.

Aeroplane tickets receive discounts during 14–29 March 2026 with price reductions of between 17–18 per cent for economy class and domestic travel.

With the discount programme in place, Dudy stated that his ministry would continue monitoring the implementation of ticket discounts for Lebaran exodus travel.

He warned that the government would impose sanctions on companies deemed not to be implementing the discount programme as expected. “There will be both warnings and sanctions against parties that do not properly implement the discount programme,” he said.
