Transmedia’s extended family celebrated Eid al-Fitr by launching its annual Mudik Seru 2026 (Festive Homecoming) programme, which has now reached its 11th year.

The company facilitated the journey home for more than 500 employees and their relatives by dispatching 12 buses. “Alhamdulillah we dispatched 12 buses with approximately 540 participants,” said Anita Ratnasari Tanjung, founder of CT ARSA Foundation, at Transmedia’s headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday, 16 March.

Anita, who officially sent off the convoy, emphasised that this initiative represents a tangible expression of the company’s care and solidarity regarding employee welfare. “This programme is nothing but a manifestation of concern from Chairul Tanjung and all of Transmedia, demonstrating care and unity so that you can all go home together,” she said.

Hundreds of participants, primarily employees and their children, will be distributed across 40 destinations spanning Central Java and East Java. “This homecoming goes to 40 locations, divided between Central Java and East Java,” Anita explained.

After celebrating the festive occasion and reconnecting with family in their hometowns, participants are expected to return to the capital with renewed motivation. Anita expressed hope that the positive energy from this holiday unity will directly impact dedication and productivity in the coming period. “Hopefully everyone returns safely and feels more unified through this togetherness, so they can produce even better work for Transmedia,” she said.

Trans7 and Trans TV Chief Executive Officer Atiek Nur Wahyuni expressed gratitude for this annual tradition and hoped the homecoming facilitation programme would continue in the future. “Hopefully this activity can continue. We also hope that the Transmedia family travelling home today arrives safely and can celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their loved ones,” Atiek said.

Participants displayed evident joy as they prepared for their journeys home, particularly those experiencing the facility for the first time. “Honestly, this is my first time joining Transmedia’s free homecoming. I’m really happy — it turns out there are lots of people and plenty of enthusiasm,” said Uti, a participant heading to Yogyakarta, at Transmedia’s headquarters.

Uti acknowledged that this cost-free homecoming programme provided meaningful relief for employees. “It’s very helpful, especially for Transmedia staff. We can travel together in a big group, which is really fun,” she said.

The official dispatch of the 12 buses took place at 09:30 in the morning. Ahead of this departure moment, Uti expressed great hope that this positive initiative facilitating family bonds would be maintained. “My hope is that this free homecoming continues to be held every year,” she said.
