Jakarta — PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta/TJ) will imminently waive fees, or drop them to Rp1, across all service types for several days to mark Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

CEO Welfizon Yuza said in Jakarta on Tuesday that the waivers are a commitment of the DKI Jakarta provincial government for major religious holidays.

From the end of last year, there have been Christmas, then Chinese New Year, followed by Ramadan; there was also the Festival of Ramadan, and later Eid al-Fitr will be accompanied by Nyepi.

Regarding the implementation dates, we are awaiting a letter from the Head of the Transportation Department (Kadis). The dates will follow the Kadis’ decree (SK Kadis). Whether it will be 1 Syawal (20 March 2026) or 1–2 [dates], we will see.

On the Rp1 cost, Welfizon described it as a system formality to indicate the rupiah transfer. ‘In the TJ, MRT and other systems, 0 must have a value; hence Rp1. Rp1 and 0 are not that different, but technically a rupiah transfer is required, so the conversion from 0 to Rp1 happens in the system,’ he said.

Coverage of Transjakarta’s services currently includes an integrated network serving 14 main BRT corridors, feeder transport, Mikrotrans (angkot), Royaltrans (premium), disability services (Transjakarta Cares) and sightseeing buses. It covers 91.7 percent of Jakarta and operates 24 hours for main corridors.
