Transjakarta evaluates Royaltrans "booking" system
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is evaluating the implementation of the seat booking system for the Royaltrans service on the Cibubur-Balai Kota route, which has been deemed not conducive, including issues with passenger flow management. “We have taken technical and strategic steps to ensure a better customer experience,” said the Head of Public Relations and CSR at PT Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, in Jakarta on Wednesday. She stated that prospective passengers can still make bookings on the day of departure if seats are available. To facilitate public travel planning, Royaltrans seat bookings via the TJ: Transjakarta app can now be made starting from seven days before departure. Ayu explained that the implementation of the seat booking system is an innovation introduced to provide seat certainty and a more comfortable, reliable, and planned travel experience for passengers. “We have instructed field officers to strengthen socialisation and directly assist in guiding customers,” she said. Some parties assess that Transjakarta has not conducted maximum socialisation, leading to confusion, especially among elderly passengers. Additionally, the passenger management flow is considered suboptimal, causing queues. Transjakarta is expanding the implementation of the seat booking system for the premium Royaltrans service to all routes starting today, previously limited to just three routes. Previously, the seat booking feature was applied to three Royaltrans routes: S12 (Terminal BSD – Fatmawati), S31 (Bintaro Exchange – Fatmawati), and S14 (Summarecon Serpong – MRT Lebak Bulus). It is now expanded to include the Cinere – Kuningan (D31), Cinere – Bundaran Senayan (D32), Summarecon Bekasi – Blok M (B13), Summarecon Bekasi – Kuningan (B14), Cibubur – Kuningan (6P), Cibubur – Blok M (1K), and Cibubur – Balai Kota (1T) routes.
