Yayasan Indonesia Setara (YIS) together with SKIES Indonesia held a Workshop on Viral Takjil Baking at the Jatisampurna Subdistrict Hall in Bekasi on Thursday, 12 March. The activity, attended by 50 housewives, consisted of training in the production of viral food products, namely matcha risoles and melted cheese dumplings.

Founder of YIS, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, stated that the training is part of the Empowered Women programme in various regions. In this programme, the mothers are not only taught baking skills but also marketing on social media through the creation of flyer designs using artificial intelligence.

“In accordance with the theme, ‘Viral Takjil Baking Workshop’, the mothers can earn income during this blessed month,” said Sandiaga Uno in a written press release on Monday, 16 March.

He explained that through a one-month mentoring programme, the mothers can also receive capital assistance in the form of free raw materials and online mentoring, enabling them to build MSME networks to drive sustainable sales and economic independence.

“Importantly, the mothers can become self-reliant through home-based enterprises, which can then develop beyond Eid and beyond, God willing,” said Sandiaga.

Separately, the Bekasi Subdistrict Head, Nata Wirya, expressed his appreciation to Sandiaga Uno and YIS, as well as SKIES Indonesia for providing training for housewives. Appreciation was also extended to the mothers who enthusiastically participated in the baking training.

“I am very pleased and hope that the mothers can continue and apply the knowledge from today’s training to other mothers, so that it can become a business opportunity for all the mothers. We continue to provide support to the mothers, and do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to participate in sales events in Jatisampurna District in the future,” he added.

The former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy emphasised the importance of the ability to adapt, collaborate, and be creative for the business world in facing economic change.
