Traffic Police Chief Awards Bali Community Figures for Synergy in Ensuring Traffic Smoothness
The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, presented certificates of appreciation to several community figures in Bali. This appreciation was given for the active role of communities in supporting the smooth flow of traffic on the Island of the Gods, including the successful Kemala Run 2026 event.
The presentation of the certificates took place at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, on Monday (20/4/2026). This activity is part of the ‘Polantas Menyapa dan Melayani’ programme initiated by Inspector General Agus to strengthen relations with the community.
The communities that received the awards include the Bali Car Workshop Association (PBMB), the Indonesian Amateur Radio Organisation (ORARI) Bali, and Kebon Vintage Cars.
“Today I am on the Island of Bali. As the Head of Traffic Corps, I convey my thanks and extraordinary appreciation to the figures in Bali, especially Mr Yos, PBMB, and ORARI. I hope that the presence of the Polantas Menyapa programme in Bali can be well received by the community,” said Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho at the location.
Inspector General Agus emphasised that synergy between the police and communities is very crucial. According to him, communities have a strategic role as an extension of the National Police in educating the public on the importance of driving safety.
“We must together maintain safety because traffic is a mirror of the nation’s culture and the lifeline of life. Therefore, it is very important to synergise with the community to create traffic order, so that the accident rate in Bali can continue to decline,” he stressed.
This appreciation serves as a complement following the success of traffic management at the Kemala Run 2026 the day before. In that event, the Traffic Corps of the National Police not only relied on advanced technology such as COMOB, Precision ETLE Drone, and K3I, but also field collaboration with community elements like Pecalang and various local communities.
Support from amateur radio communities like ORARI and other automotive communities is considered very helpful in accelerating the dissemination of information related to traffic engineering to the public.
“This synergy proves that security and traffic regulation will be far more optimal if it involves active community participation. We hope this collaboration continues to be maintained to realise a safe and orderly Bali in terms of traffic,” said Inspector General Agus.
“Together we maintain safety because traffic is a mirror of the nation’s culture, traffic is the lifeline of life, therefore the importance of synergising with the community, together creating traffic and the accident rate can decrease in Bali,” he added.
