Trader killed in Blok M
JAKARTA (JP): A food trader was stabbed to death yesterday on Jl. Melawai, in the Blok M area of South Jakarta, following a minor incident.
Jakarta Police Spokesman, Maj. Nyoman Suriasta, said that Ishak, 27, was knifed in the neck by a hoodlum, identified as Andi.
"Apparently the way Andi was walking under the influence of alcohol struck Ishak funny, so he laughed. But Andi got mad and pulled a knife and stabbed Ishak," Nyoman said,
Police are still hunting the hoodlum, he said.
Ishak, a resident of Jl. Kampung Duku, Kebayoran Lama district, South Jakarta, is survived by a wife and a child.
Ishak's body has been sent to his hometown on Madura island, in East Java. (jun)
