TP PKK Expert Staff Praises South Lampung Regency's Efforts in Addressing Zero Dose
To that end, he considers immunisation to be one of the most effective health interventions to protect children from various diseases. This was expressed by him during the Monitoring and Evaluation of Zero Dose Immunisation Implementation at the South Lampung Regency Office, today.
“The government places great emphasis on this matter by targeting the acceleration of reducing the number of zero-dose children so that no child is left behind from their basic health rights,” said Yane Ardian Bima Arya in a written statement, Tuesday (12/5/2026).
Yane revealed that based on data as of 11 May 2026, the zero-dose immunisation achievement in South Lampung Regency has reached 4,384 children out of a target of 4,967 children, or about 88.2 percent. However, based on the latest data update, the achievement has increased to 92 percent.
“Thank you for the cooperation, hard work, and swift action; in one and a half months or five weeks, South Lampung has achieved 92 percent. So, I hope it continues,” he said.
According to him, the zero-dose programme in South Lampung is expected to drive an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) and the consistent quality of basic public services. Therefore, South Lampung is encouraged to become an example of zero-dose handling implementation in Indonesia.
In addition, local governments (Pemda) are expected to ensure that education on the importance of immunisation truly reaches families in need.
Yane requested that Pemda also identify various obstacles causing some families to still delay immunisation for their children. The results of this monitoring will later serve as input for the Ministry of Health and related stakeholders.
“I believe that if all elements move together with the local government, health workers, PKK cadres, religious figures, community leaders, and all existing elements, this achievement will soon increase. We must ensure that no child is left behind. Because one protected child means one child’s future is saved,” he explained.
The monitoring of the zero-dose immunisation implementation was also attended by the Chair of TP PKK of Lampung Province, Purnama Wulan Sari Mirza, the Regional Secretary of South Lampung Regency, Supriyanto, and the Deputy Chair of TP PKK of South Lampung Regency, Reni Apriyani.
Also present were Expert Staff for Family Health and Environment of TP PKK Central, Marlina La Ode Ahmad, Chair of Family Health and Environment Division of TP PKK Central, Safriati Safrizal, as well as officials from TP PKK of Lampung Province and South Lampung Regency.
