Toyota Yaris and Yaris Cross 2026 Updated with New Technology
Jakarta – Toyota has announced that the 2026 Yaris and Yaris Cross will receive larger infotainment screens as part of interior upgrades.
According to Drive, Toyota has confirmed that the Yaris and Yaris Cross will be equipped with 10.5-inch (26.7 cm) infotainment screens on higher-spec models, an increase from the previous 8-inch (20.3 cm) displays, featuring navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
The Yaris will transition from a cable-operated handbrake to an electronic parking brake with hold function, and will gain a front centre armrest with storage space, both features already standard on the Yaris Cross.
In Australia, the Toyota Yaris is currently priced from AUD $28,990 (approximately Rp486 million) before on-road costs for the Ascent Sport Hybrid variant, whilst the SX Hybrid is priced at AUD $32,390 (Rp543 million) before on-road costs, and the top-spec ZR Hybrid variant costs AUD $34,590 (Rp580 million).
The Toyota Yaris Cross is priced from AUD $31,790 (Rp533 million) for the GX Hybrid front-wheel drive variant, and ranges up to AUD $39,930 (Rp669 million) for the Urban all-wheel drive model, all before on-road costs.
Both vehicles are powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder 85kW hybrid petrol engine with CVT transmission.
The previous update to the Yaris and Yaris Cross came in 2025, when they received low-speed pedestrian alert sounds and new features on select variants, including front and rear parking sensors on base models.
The 2024 update introduced revised safety features, a new front grille design, new badging, and an enhanced colour palette, with the Yaris transitioning to an exclusive hybrid vehicle to match the Yaris Cross.
