Touters thrive at Metro Jaya

I can't get the fact out of my mind that there are still
employees of Metro Jaya who tout their services to people in need
of a driver's license, for instance. This goes on, despite the
Metro Jaya Police chief's ruling that these practices are not
permitted.

I recently experienced something like this. I went to the
Metro Jaya Police office to apply for a type A driver's license.
An official offered his services to me with the promise that my
driver's license would be ready within two hours.

I trusted him and gave him my ID card, along with Rp 150,000
in cash. To my disappointment, a week passed, but my license is
still not ready.
