**Anies Speaks After Breaking Fast with Political Party Elites**

Former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan broke fast together with a number of political party elites at an event held at the NasDem Party's Central Executive Board office in Central Jakarta on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

At the event, Anies sat at the same table as NasDem Party Chairman Surya Paloh, Gerindra Party Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, PDIP Central Executive Board Chairwoman Puan Maharani, and several other politicians.

Tempo observed that throughout the opening of the event, Anies initially sat separately from Surya Paloh and other party leaders in attendance. Anies sat at another round table with Prananda Paloh. Meanwhile, Surya Paloh's round table was occupied by Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) President Almuzzammil Yusuf, Deputy Speaker of the DPR Saan Mustopa, and former Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who arrived later.

After the formal programme, Anies was seen sitting in a circle with several party leaders, including Surya Paloh, Dasco, Puan Maharani, and Jusuf Kalla.

Anies said he was pleased to be reunited with figures from parties that had supported him in the 2024 general election. However, he declined to comment extensively on the content of their discussions.

**Pelita Air: Crashed Aircraft Was Airworthy**

PT Pelita Air Service stated that the chartered Air Tractor AT-802 aircraft with registration PK-PAA, which crashed near Long Bawan Airport in North Kalimantan on Thursday, 19 February 2026, was in airworthy condition.

Pelita Air Corporate Secretary Patria Rhamadonna said the 2013-manufactured aircraft had undergone its most recent routine maintenance some time ago. "The aircraft was in airworthy condition and had undergone its most recent routine maintenance on 15 February 2026," Patria said in a written statement on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

According to the company, the aircraft was carrying out a routine mission distributing fuel under the One Price Fuel programme. The aircraft departed from Juwata Airport in Tarakan at 10:22 WITA and landed safely at Long Bawan Airport at 11:24 WITA carrying a fuel cargo.

Upon arrival at Long Bawan, ground crew carried out the unloading process. After completion, the aircraft prepared to return to Tarakan without cargo at 12:10 WITA. However, at 12:30 WITA, Pelita Air's head office in Jakarta received initial information that the aircraft had allegedly crashed not far from Long Bawan Airport.

**Jimly Asshiddiqie Criticises DPR's Summoning of Constitutional Court Ethics Council**

Former Constitutional Court Chief Justice Jimly Asshiddiqie criticised the summoning of the Constitutional Court's Ethics Council (MKMK) by the DPR's Commission III regarding the ethics case involving Adies Kadir.

The former MKMK Chairman stressed that the Ethics Council should not have attended the DPR's summons regarding the examination of a complaint against Constitutional Justice Adies Kadir. His reasoning was that the MKMK is not subject to oversight by the DPR. "Especially in matters concerning cases," he said when contacted on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

Jimly said the MKMK's duty to uphold the Constitutional Court's code of ethics could only apply when Adies was serving as a Constitutional Court justice. The MKMK should have announced its position on the complaint against Adies directly and openly.

He agreed with Commission III of the DPR, which had asked the MKMK not to interfere in the DPR's internal affairs.
