Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan P. Roeslani revealed the largest sectors contributing to Indonesia's investment realisation in the first quarter of 2025. Total investment inflows in Q1 2025 reached Rp 465.2 trillion, a 15.9% increase compared with the same period the previous year.

"In terms of investment, they invested in the top five sectors, such as the basic metals, metal goods, non-machinery and equipment industry. Smelters and others accounted for 14.5%, making it the largest," said Rosan at the Presidential Office in Jakarta, as quoted on Thursday (24/4/2025).

He continued that the transportation, warehousing and electronics sector followed with a 14.3% share, mining at 10.4%, other services at 8.8%, and industrial estates and office spaces at 8.1%.

Based on this growth, Rosan described Indonesia's investment trajectory as positive, despite rising geopolitical and geo-economic tensions. The achievement also remains on track with the target set by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) of Rp 1,905.6 trillion for 2025, with Q1 2025 already reaching 24.4% of that target.

"Investment is a long-term commitment, and they see that under President Prabowo's leadership, stability, peace and security are very well maintained. As a result, investment inflows continue in line with our future targets," said Rosan.
