Toll road to connect Hankam-Cikunir

JAKARTA: Toll road operator PT Jasa Marga has started the
construction of an eight-kilometer road connecting Hankam in East
Jakarta and Cikunir, Bekasi, which is part of the Jakarta Outer
Ring Road (JORR).

Company secretary Hengki Herwanto said the project, estimated
to cost Rp 287 billion (US$34 million), would be separated into
two sections -- Hankam-Jatiasih and Jatiasih-Cikunir roads.

"We aim to complete the project in February next year," Hengki
was quoted by Antara as saying.

He explained that the Hankam-Jatiasih section, costing Rp 141
billion, would be built by PT Nindya Karya and PT Moderen Widya
Technical. The Jatiasih-Cikunir part would be constructed by PT
Istaka Karya.

Hengki claimed that land acquisition for the project was near
