TNI visits residents' homes in Papua to provide free medical treatment
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian National Armed Forces Headquarters (Mabes TNI) deployed its personnel to reach residents in need of medical services in Bibida District, Paniai Regency, Central Papua, on Tuesday (28/4). In a press release received in Jakarta on Thursday, it was explained that this proactive outreach activity was conducted so that the community no longer needs to travel far to healthcare facilities to obtain health services. Head of the Information Centre (Kapuspen) of Mabes TNI, Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, when confirmed by ANTARA, stated that the health services were provided by the Task Force of Yonif 711/Raksatama Battalion. “The health services provided include general examinations, provision of vitamins for children to prevent stunting, and treatment for minor wounds,” said Aulia. In addition to treating the community, Aulia continued, the soldiers of the Yonif 711/Raksatama Task Force also educated on clean and healthy living habits (PHBS) so that residents can maintain their health independently amid limited facilities. He said the community was enthusiastic about the presence of TNI soldiers in their area. Aulia assured that efforts like this will continue to be carried out so that the people of Papua can still access health facilities and feel secure with the TNI’s presence. “This action is real proof that the unity of TNI and the people is not just a slogan, but a manifestation of the state’s presence to the farthest corners of the country,” he stated.
