Titi leads ladies golf open

JAKARTA (JP): Titi Puryanti, the 1992 Indonesian Ladies'
Amateur Open champion, took the lead at this year's Open after
posting a three-over-par 75 in the first round yesterday.

The fact that none of the participants were able to card a
below-par score highlighted the difficulties posed by the new
Jagorawi course in Cibinong, West Java.

Six shots behind Titi in second place is Retno Mustari
Purwandari, the 1993 and 1994 Open champion. She scored 79 after
a triple bogey on the 13th hole. Yesterday's first round was
halted by rain and the golfers who could not finish yesterday are
scheduled to resume their first rounds today. (arf)
