Three robbers arrested

JAKARTA (JP): In the last few days city police have arrested three suspected robbers, including a 14-year-old boy.

The first robbery took place in a Diana Taxi driven by A. Murad, 36, at the exit gate of Jatibening highway in Bekasi on Saturday evening.

Murad said that his "passenger", S. Agam Raya Irawan, 35, refused to pay the toll fee and threatened him with a samurai sword.

Patrol officers nearby heard the quarrel and immediately arrested Agam.

The second robber, identified as Nuryadi, age withheld, failed in his attempt to rob a bus driver on Sunday.

The driver of PPD public bus No. 12 screamed for help when he realized what Nuryadi had in mind. He was caught by an angry mob on Jl. Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta.

The third robbery occurred Sunday night in Pamulang, South Jakarta, when Jeffry, 14, pointed a sickle and an FN .46 gun at Kosti taxi driver Suprianto, 43.
