Three people die in a collision

BOGOR: Three people died and another was critically injured in
a collision between a bus and a public minivan in Ciawi on Friday
afternoon.

The bus, owned by Kramat Jati, was heading toward Bogor from
Puncak while the minivan was heading to Ciawi from Bogor when the
crash occurred, according to eyewitnesses.

An official from city-run Ciawi Hospital said two passengers
and the driver of the minivan were killed upon impact, while the
driver of the bus and its passengers survived.

"Two of the three dead victims were almost unrecognizable,
while the critically injured person is being treated in the
emergency room," he said.

The deceased minivan driver was identified as Ismo, 45, a
resident of Cilember, Ciawi. -- JP
