Three New Complaints Thoroughly Discussed in the 10th Debottlenecking Session

Jakarta, 19 May 2026 – The Task Force for the Acceleration of Government Programs to Support Increased Economic Growth (P3M-PPE) again held the 10th Debottlenecking Session on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, at the Mezzanine Hall, Djuanda I Building, Ministry of Finance. The open session, chaired by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, discussed the resolution of three business-related complaints from PT Aqua Farm Nusantara (AFN), PT Perusahaan Air Indonesia Amerika (PAIA), and PT Perusahaan Resor Indonesia Amerika (PRIA).

Through the session, the government brought together business operators, relevant ministries/agencies, local governments, and other stakeholders to seek solutions to investment barriers and business activities. The issues discussed included harmonisation of fish-farming policies on Lake Toba, the sustainability of an investment in seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) technology-based clean water supply in the KEK Mandalika, and follow-up on the utilisation and development of land for an integrated tourism project in the same area.

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stressed the importance of clear, measurable, and actionable resolutions so that business obstacles do not drag on. The government also ensured that each resolution process would balance investment certainty, environmental protection, business sustainability, and the economic benefits for the community. In the discussion on Lake Toba, the minister also urged business actors to support the strengthening of the local economy. “Please help the local aquaculture producers,” the Finance Minister said.

As a follow-up, the government encouraged a review of Lake Toba’s carrying capacity and environmental absorption to serve as the basis for policy adjustments more aligned with current conditions. Meanwhile, resolution of investment obstacles in KEK Mandalika would be monitored through further constructive discussions, including speeding up licensing processes and restoring operations. “The process is continuing. We will review it here every week,” the minister asserted.

Through the Debottlenecking Session, the government reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating the resolution of investment obstacles in a coordinated, accountable, and investment-oriented manner. As of 19 May 2026, 145 complaints had been received through the Debottlenecking Channel, of which 89 complaints have been resolved and followed up by the P3M-PPE Task Force. (mdf)
