“Earlier, we agreed that we will request additional personnel involvement from the Republic of Indonesia Police technically in Saudi Arabia to engage more with the Saudi Arabian police regarding the regulation and management of hajj there,” he stated.
Deputy National Police Chief Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo emphasised that his side will collaborate with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as well as the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Saudi Arabia to ensure the legal process runs smoothly and the rights of Indonesians are fulfilled.
“After all, Indonesian citizens facing the law in another country, the state’s obligation is also to provide legal assistance,” Dedi said.
“Once again, law enforcement must be carried out to provide a deterrent effect, so it does not recur in the following years,” Dedi stressed.
