Three former National Nutrition Agency officials named suspects in Free Nutritious Meal programme corruption case
The Attorney General’s Office has named three former officials of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) as suspects in an alleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for the 2025–2026 period. The three individuals are the former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana (DH), the former Deputy Head of BGN for Organisational Development and Institutional Support, Lodewyk Pusung (LP), and the former Deputy Head of BGN for Nutritional Fulfilment Operations, Sony Sonjaya (SS).
“After a series of examinations of Mr DH, Mr SS, and Mr LP as witnesses, and based on sufficient evidence obtained by the investigative team, the investigators have named all three as suspects,” stated Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Investigation at the Attorney General’s Office’s Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), at the Jampidsus Building in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Regarding the modus operandi, Syarief explained that the BGN appointed problematic foundations to serve as partners for the Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). “These foundations are affiliated with, among others, being owned by Mr DH, Mr SS, and Mr LP,” he said. Furthermore, the three suspects also engaged in unlawful procurement processes for both goods and services within the BGN.
Following their designation as suspects, the three former BGN executives will undergo detention for the next 20 days at the Salemba Detention Centre, under the jurisdiction of the Attorney General’s Office and the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office. On Wednesday morning, Jampidsus investigators also conducted a search of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office located in Central Jakarta as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged corruption in the MBG programme management.
