Heavy rain that has lashed Bali for three days since 22 February has triggered flooding at 26 locations. The high-intensity rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, has left dozens of areas in Denpasar and Badung submerged.

The Bali Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that within the 12 hours between 6.00pm and 6.00am WITA on Tuesday (24 February 2026), there were 26 flood points across Denpasar and Badung.

The Head of Operations at BPBD Bali, I Gede Agung Teja Bhusana Yadnya, said that average water levels ranged between 30 and 80 centimetres. Officers are still conducting evacuations at a number of affected locations.

In Badung, flooding has been reported at several points, from Legian to Jimbaran, with average water levels of 40 to 50 centimetres.

“The provincial BPBD has deployed 80 personnel, and staff who were off duty have also been called in. I have requested the same from BPBD Denpasar and Badung,” he explained.

As of this afternoon, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds continues to batter Denpasar. Teja urged residents to heighten their vigilance, particularly those living along riverbanks.

“For those near rivers, always monitor rising water levels. Prepare valuables in a single emergency bag so they can be quickly taken during evacuation if necessary,” Teja said.
