Three chosen for taekwondo meet

JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Taekwondo Association will send
two male and one female taekwondoists from East Kalimantan to
this year's world championship in Manila, the Philippines, from
Nov. 17 to Nov. 25.

The three who passed the selection for the world championships
are featherweight Alfons Lung, flyweight Dirc Richard and female
flyweight taekwondoist, Rahel Daring.

All of them have won silver medals in previous tournaments.
Alfons won a silver at the 1994 Asian Games in Hiroshima. Dirc
obtained his silver medal in the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992
while Rachel won her silver medal at the 1995 Vietnam Open. (arf)
