Three Chinese Nationals Deported for Visa Data Manipulation
JAKARTA - The Surabaya Class I Immigration Office has deported three Chinese nationals after they were proven to have falsified data and provided false statements to obtain business visit and pre-investment visas for Indonesia. In addition to deportation, the three individuals have also been subjected to a blacklisting order.
Head of the Surabaya Immigration Office, Agus Winarto, stated that the three foreign nationals entered Indonesia using a Pre-Investment Visit Visa (index C12) and Business Visas (index C1 and C2).
However, during the inspection process, it was discovered that the visas were obtained using letters, data, and guarantor statements that were untrue or had been manipulated.
“The document irregularities were initially detected by the immigration system, which showed discrepancies between the guarantor registered in the system and the documents used for the trio’s visa applications,” Agus said on Friday (19/6/2026).
Following field investigations, it was revealed that the foreign nationals’ claims of business and investment purposes were merely a cover. They had no actual plans to conduct investment or business activities in Indonesia.
