Three bowlers off to student tourney

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia is to send three athletes to the initial Asian Student Bowling Championship in Singapore, scheduled to take place next week.

Dinna Erwinn, of AMF Bowling Inc., said yesterday that the Indonesian Bowling Association named Southeast Asian Games debutant Ryan Lalisang and Martien Budiman for the boys' competition and Windy Picaulima for the girls' category. The three were chosen from a national selection here last week.

"The tournament will give a lot of opportunities to our young talents to learn from an international competition," Dinna said.

Coaches Jimmy Lim and David Sitorus will accompany the three junior athletes. (amd)
