Thousands of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Complete Third Stoning in Mina During Early Departure
Thousands of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims departing early began gathering at the stoning area in Mina on Friday local time. They completed the stoning ritual on the third day of Tashreeq or 12 Dhu al-Hijjah as the final stage of Hajj before returning to Mecca.
Those performing nafar awal are pilgrims who complete the stoning ritual on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhu al-Hijjah before leaving Mina.
Ade Irawan, Head of Kloter JKS 03, stated that the main Hajj rituals for pilgrims from Bogor Regency proceeded smoothly until their final day in Mina.
“Alhamdulillah, the JKS 03 pilgrims have now completed all Hajj rituals, including the standing at Arafah, overnight stay at Muzdalifah, and the stoning of the pillars on the 10th, 11th, and 12th,” said Ade.
He noted that this year’s stoning process was challenging due to organisers implementing staggered timings for each group to avoid overcrowding.
“The conditions were extraordinary; we had to stay alert constantly to adapt to changes, and we managed to complete the activity just after dawn,” he said.
Ade explained that Kloter JKS 03 was among the groups assigned an early schedule to complete the stoning ritual as they needed to prepare for their return to Mecca.
“As our return to Mecca is scheduled for 8am, we completed the stoning just after dawn, then returned to the tents while awaiting departure instructions,” he added.
Meanwhile, KH Fikri Halfia Ramdlan, Head of Group 1 for Kloter JKS 03 and leader of KBIHU Daarul Istiqomah in Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, expressed gratitude for the completion of Hajj rituals in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna). However, he reminded pilgrims to maintain their stamina, as one final ritual—Tawaf Ifadah—must still be performed.
M Ikbal Alfarisi, Head of Group 8 and leader of KBIHU Darul Ulum Parung, expressed gratitude that the 2026 Hajj rituals were successfully completed despite challenges.
“Hajj inevitably involves ups and downs; it is about proceeding with faith and piety, as it is a process and a test of patience,” Ikbal said.
He viewed Hajj as a spiritual journey that cultivates sincerity and obedience to Allah SWT.
“Only patient and sincere pilgrims can successfully complete it, and alhamdulillah, Bogor’s Hajj pilgrims have managed this year’s rituals well. May we become blessed hajjis who can enrich our communities through our spiritual journey,” he concluded.
Indonesian Hajj pilgrims will remain in hotels on the 12th and 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah to ensure their safety and comfort due to extreme congestion at the Grand Mosque during Tawaf Ifadah.
