Thousands of Buyers Participate in Trade Expo
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Around 90 percent of the preparations for the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) have been completed.
“Physical and construction preparations are still being made. But it is 90 percent done,” said Hesti Indah Kresnarini, the National Export Development Agency chief, yesterday (22/10) at her office.
Additionally, the number of participants registering for the event has almost reached the set target.
“About 85 percent out of the targeted 770 have registered,” Hesti said.
Around 5,600 potential buyers from various countries have also entered their names.
“Some come from America, Australia, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia," Hesti added.
As many as 7,800 potential buyers are expected to be present.
This figure is higher than last year’s 7,400.
“We hope to fulfill the target from potential buyers, who can just show up without registering,” Hesti said.
Around 15,000 visitors besides the buyers are expected to attend, as well.
