This Week's Odd-Even Jakarta Rule Applies Only for 3 Days
JAKARTA - The vehicle restriction policy using the odd-even system has been reimplemented on 25 roads in Jakarta this week. The timing is divided into two sessions: from 06:00 to 10:00 WIB and continuing from 16:00 to 21:00 WIB. However, for this week, the rule will only apply for three days, as it is suspended on Thursday (14/5/2026) and Friday (15/5/2026) due to the national holiday for the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ and collective leave. βIn connection with the Holiday and Collective Leave for the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ on 14-15 May 2026, the implementation of the Odd-Even system on various roads in Jakarta is CANCELLED,β stated the DKI Transportation Agency on its official Instagram account @dishubdkijakarta on Sunday (10/5/2026). The odd-even implementation is carried out to help ease traffic density, especially during morning and evening rush hours. The applied scheme still refers to the previous rules. That means, vehicles with the last digit of the licence plate being odd are only allowed to pass on odd dates. Meanwhile, vehicles with the last digit even are permitted to pass on even dates. Drivers are urged to pay attention to the calendar date before travelling to avoid being fined when passing through the odd-even areas. The 25 roads affected include: Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Jalan Panglima Polim, Jalan Fatmawati from the Jalan Ketimun intersection to Jalan TB Simatupang, Jalan Suryopranoto, Jalan Balikpapan, Jalan Kyai Caringin, Jalan Tomang Raya, Jalan Jenderal S Parman, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan MT Haryono, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Jalan D.I Pandjaitan, Jalan Jenderal A.
