The Grave Stepped On for Content by Mak Daster and Inung Sia Turns Out to Be Fake
Jakarta - Content creators Mak Daster and Inung Sia were reported to police over content showing someone stepping on a grave. It was later revealed that the grave was merely a prop. The two have now chosen to stop producing content.
The two content creators were reported to police for content depicting someone stepping on a grave and kicking a headstone. Cianjur Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief AKP Fajri Amelia Putra immediately inspected the grave after receiving the report.
“We went straight to the location to verify whether the grave was real or fake. We then carried out an excavation, witnessed by subdistrict and village officials as well as the content creators,” he said.
According to him, the excavation revealed the grave was fake. It was empty inside, containing only a water pipe.
“The grave was empty, and at a depth of 1.5 meters there was a water pipe. So it was indeed fake, merely a content prop,” he said.
Meanwhile, Asep Muladi, the legal counsel for Mak Daster and Inung Sia, confirmed that the grave stepped on by Mak Daster in the content with Inung Sia was a prop.
“It was stated earlier that it was not a real grave. It was empty underneath. Even if you dug it up, it’s a septic tank drain,” he said.
His clients have reportedly been distressed by the controversy. Mak Daster and Inung Sia have chosen to take a break from creating content.
“Mak Daster has been psychologically affected after her parents found out about the controversy. Her family had been planning to go on umrah, but instead they were confronted with this issue. As for Inung Sia, he’s still young, so he’s also confused,” he said.
“They’re stopping content creation for now. Any posts that appear are old videos,” he added.
